St. Louis, MO - October 11th, 2025 — Huge congratulations to our friends at Side Project Brewing and Narrow Gauge Brewing Company for bringing home medals from this year’s Great American Beer Festival Awards Competition in Denver!

Side Project Brewing earned a Gold Medal in the Dessert Stout or Pastry Stout category for their incredible Marble Lions. At the same time, Narrow Gauge Brewing Company picked up a Silver Medal in the Juicy or Hazy Imperial IPA category for King Fallen Flag.

These wins add to both breweries’ already impressive track records. Side Project also earned a Silver Medal back in 2017 for Blended 2017 in the Belgian-Style Lambic or Sour Ale category, and Narrow Gauge has brought home several medals of their own — a Gold for Saft in 2023 and a Silver for Meersalz in 2019.

Based in Maplewood, Side Project has built an international reputation for its mixed-culture and barrel-aged beers, where patience, craftsmanship, and balance take center stage. Up in Florissant, Narrow Gauge has become one of the region’s most beloved breweries thanks to its hazy IPAs, creative sours, and dedication to quality.

The Great American Beer Festival (GABF), organized by the Brewers Association, is the largest and most respected beer competition in the country. Thousands of beers from across the U.S. are judged by style and flavor, making any medal win a profound honor — and a big moment for the brewers who make it happen.

Cheers to Side Project and Narrow Gauge for once again putting St. Louis beer on the national stage — and reminding everyone why our city continues to be one of the best beer towns in America.
